minimum efficiency levels for the EEA market

Entering into force of the new Commission Regulation (EU) No 2019/1781

Starting from July 1, 2021 the new regulation will apply to electric motors cage induction, single-speed, three-phase, with a frequency of 50 Hz, 60 Hz or 50-60 Hz with:
• speed from 2 to 8 poles
• nominal voltage (Un) up to 1000 V
• power rating (Pn) between 0.12 kW and 1000 kW
• features based on continuous            operation
• suitability to DOL staring

The major differences related to SAER products will be:

– minimum efficiency requirements to be applied on 8 poles motors as well
– the new minimum efficiency          requirements will apply on motors starting from 0,12 up to 1000kW       
– mandatory IE3 efficiency level for 3-phase motors with rated output from 0.75 to 1000 kW (the IE2 + VSD alternative will no longer be allowed in EEA)
– mandatory IE2 efficiency level for 3-phase motors with rated output from 0.12 kW and below 0.75 kW.
